Analytik NEWS is an online laboratory magazine with a large job market for scientists and technicians. It is operated by Dr. Beyer Internet-Beratung, an independent service provider for the laboratory industry.

In addition to daily updated job offers, the homepage offers job seekers the opportunity to publish a profile anonymously and free of charge. Interested companies can fill out a contact form. Job seekers can decide for themselves whether they want to reply or not; the companies do not receive any contact data.

In addition, the weekly e-mail newsletter Analytik JOBFLASH provides free information on all new entries. It can be subscribed directly on the homepage.

The homepage also contains many other useful career planning links such as literature tips, descriptions of job profiles in the laboratory environment and an extensive list of other job markets especially for scientists.

Advice, information, courses, trainings and events for career orientation and a successful career start

The heiSKILLS Career Service links the university with the job market. It offers an extensive range of events and counselling services for students, graduates, doctoral candidates and young professionals with questions about planning and starting their career.

Individual counselling sessions provide information and support for various issues. We offer support during decision-making processes, for self-evaluation and skills profiles, professional orientation, career planning and other related questions. We provide information about the job market, application management and self-marketing that makes it easier to start a career.

The course programme provides job-relevant know-how, information on occupational fields and guidance during the application process. In workshops and lectures, experts introduce different fields of work and possible entries into the private sector and institutions outside academia.

karriereführer
The karriereführer is an informative, discerning and service-oriented job magazine (print + online) that provides advice to graduates and students about to take their exams specifically preparing to start their career at the end of their studies. 16 print editions a year are distributed for free throughout Germany to contact points such as the offices of the registrar and dean, student councils, libraries, career centres and also recruiting fairs.

Laborjournal
Laborjournal informs in a critical but refreshing tone about life science business topics (10 print issues per year, website). Background information, research results, company portraits, publication statistics, a large method section commentaries, comics and cartoons with an underlying element of wit are the reason for Laborjournal’s sweeping success. Readers are scientists and laboratory technicians in industry and universities. Uniturm.de is the largest knowledge network for students in Germany, Austria and Switzerland. The free platform has enabled students to share documents and knowledge since 2007. Currently there are more than a million pages of study documents in over 250 German-speaking universities available. In the online magazine there are helpful tips about everyday students life. Practical learning software, a large job market and a free study choice test complete the offer.

ZMBH
During the last 35 years the Center for Molecular Biology of Heidelberg University (ZMBH) has established itself as an internationally renowned institution for basic research and training in molecular and cell biology. ZMBH scientists investigate central biological processes such as regulation and evolution of the genome, mechanisms of protein folding and degradation, functioning of cellular surveillance systems as well as control of cell division and stem cell differentiation. Research results are being frequently transformed into biomedical applications. Moreover, the ZMBH has an ongoing strong collaboration with the Research Program Cell and Tumor Biology of the German Cancer Research Center (DKFZ) in the DKFZ ZMBH Alliance. The ZMBH offers courses for bioscience students pursuing their bachelor’s or master’s degree. PhD students can work on their thesis in an international and active research environment. We also host postdoctoral researchers and support junior scientists in setting up their independent research group.
