Analytik NEWS is an online laboratory magazine with a large job market for scientists and technicians. It is operated by Dr. Beyer Internet-Beratung, an independent service provider for the laboratory industry.
In addition to daily updated job offers, the homepage offers job seekers the opportunity to publish a profile anonymously and free of charge. Interested companies can fill out a contact form. Job seekers can decide for themselves whether they want to reply or not; the companies do not receive any contact data.
In addition, the weekly e-mail newsletter Analytik JOBFLASH provides free information on all new entries. It can be subscribed directly on the homepage.
The homepage also contains many other useful career planning links such as literature tips, descriptions of job profiles in the laboratory environment and an extensive list of other job markets especially for scientists.

BIOPRO Baden-Württemberg uses its expertise to support health and bioeconomy issues on behalf of the state of Baden-Württemberg. This cooperation, closely coordinated with the state ministries, creates a comprehensive range of services for players from companies, research institutions and networks - always with the aim of networking the industry and promoting innovation.
As a company, we tend to innovations and projects strategically, professionally and in relation to implementation. From organizing events and moderating strategy processes to supporting the healthcare industry on the topics of regulation and sustainability, close and constructive cooperation with the various players in the industry has developed over the years. We can be contacted centrally for all partners from companies, research institutions and networks in Baden-Württemberg.

BioRN is the science and industry innovation cluster of the Rhine-Main-Neckar region around Heidelberg, one of Germany’s strongest biotech and life-science hubs in Germany. It is a non-profit network fostering health innovations and serving its members by creating a rich translational ecosystem as well as promoting, representing and connecting the regional innovation stakeholders. BioRN has more than 140 institutional members, including the top academic and research institutions, 10 global pharmaceutical companies, a large range of small and medium-sized enterprises bolstering the life science ecosystem as well as local government organizations and interest groups. During the last 35 years the Center for Molecular Biology of Heidelberg University (ZMBH) has established itself as an internationally renowned institution for basic research and training in molecular and cell biology. ZMBH scientists investigate central biological processes such as regulation and evolution of the genome, mechanisms of protein folding and degradation, functioning of cellular surveillance systems as well as control of cell division and stem cell differentiation. Research results are being frequently transformed into biomedical applications. Moreover, the ZMBH has an ongoing strong collaboration with the Research Program Cell and Tumor Biology of the German Cancer Research Center (DKFZ) in the DKFZ ZMBH Alliance. The ZMBH offers courses for bioscience students pursuing their bachelor’s or master’s degree. PhD students can work on their thesis in an international and active research environment. We also host postdoctoral researchers and support junior scientists in setting up their independent research group.

The Career Service links the university with the job market. It offers an extensive range of events and counselling services for students, graduates, doctoral candidates and young professionals with questions about planning and starting their career.
Individual counselling sessions provide information and support for various issues. We offer support during decision-making processes, for self-evaluation and skills profiles, professional orientation, career planning and other related questions. We provide information about the job market, application management and self-marketing that makes it easier to start a career.
The course programme provides job-relevant know-how, information on occupational fields and guidance during the application process. In workshops and lectures, experts introduce different fields of work and possible entries into the private sector and institutions outside academia.

German Cancer Research Center
The German Cancer Research Center (Deutsches Krebsforschungszentrum, DKFZ) with its more than 3,000 employees is the largest biomedical research institution in Germany. At DKFZ, more than 1,300 scientists investigate how cancer develops, identify cancer risk factors and endeavor to find new strategies to prevent people from getting cancer. They develop novel approaches to make tumor diagnosis more precise and treatment of cancer patients more successful. DKFZ’s Cancer Information Service (KID) provides individual answers to all questions about cancer for patients, the general public, and health care professionals. Jointly with partners from Heidelberg University Hospital, DKFZ runs the National Center for Tumor Diseases (NCT) located in Heidelberg and Dresden, and, also in Heidelberg, the Hopp Children’s Cancer Center (KiTZ). In the German Cancer Consortium (DKTK), one of six German Centers for Health Research, DKFZ maintains translational centers at seven university partnering sites. Combining excellent university hospitals with high-profile research at a Helmholtz Center at the NCT and DKTK sites is an important contribution to the endeavor of translating promising approaches from cancer research into the clinic in order to improve the chances of cancer patients. DKFZ is a member of the Helmholtz Association of National Research Centers, with ninety percent of its funding coming from the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research and the remaining ten percent from the State of Baden-Württemberg.
