CONTACT23 – Visitor Information

Welcome to the CONTACT2023

We are delighted to welcome you at the Communication Center of the German Cancer Research Center (DKFZ) to the CONTACT2023, the most successful life science job fair in the Rhine-Neckar region.

This year, we recruited 33 renowned global players as well as regional companies and start-ups from different sectors of life sciences for our CONTACT2023. Seize your chance to directly talk to company representatives about career options, potential entry positions, and their daily work, thereby making initial personal contacts in a relaxed atmosphere. In parallel to the fair, we are offering multiple workshops as well as application file checks and the possibility to get new application portraits in order to help you with your applications.

The job fair is accompanied by a comprehensive presentation program, which takes place in the lecture halls on the ground floor and first floor. We are continuing to expand our offer for non-native german speakers and are proud to offer even more lectures, workshops and application file checks in English this year. Another exciting part of this CONTACT is the panel discussion, where several companies will have the opportunity to comment on an interesting and critical topic – stay tuned! Also, don‘t miss your chance to
prepare your job application properly by attending one of our career workshops. If you are still missing a high-quality job application portrait, pass by the Photo Booth to have your picture taken by the professional portrait photographer sponsored by BioContact e.V. and you may catch one of the last free spots! In order to give your application documents the final finish, make use of our free CV check in cooperation with A.S.I., Agentur für Arbeit, Horbach and Hesse/Schrader. In addition, we offer free CV checks by Sarah
Blackford after the job fair. And don’t forget to check out our job wall!

One essential factor for the CONTACT’s success over the years is the great venue at Heidelberg campus in one of the most renowned biomedical research institutes worldwide, the German Cancer Research Center (DKFZ). We would like to express our thanks to the DKFZ executive board, Prof. Dr. Dr. Michael Baumann and Ursula Weyrich, for their continuous support. Also, we sincerely thank everyone involved in making this event happen and our many visitors each year.

We are pleased to continuously provide a platform to connect people from life sciences in and outside of academia. If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to contact us at the information desk at any time. We wish all visitors and company representatives an informative and successful day at the CONTACT2023!
