Before the Fair
The fair takes place exclusively in person.
The fair takes place on May 21, 2025. Opening hours are from 10 AM to 5 PM.
The fair takes place on May 20th, 2026, between 10 AM and 5 PM. You can arrive and leave at any time during this period.
No, entry to CONTACT is free of charge.
No registration is required to visit the job fair. However, we do offer some additional services for which you must register free of charge*.
*Only application photos by the photographer are subjected to a small fee.
Paid parking spaces are available on the Campus Im Neuenheimer Feld. However, due to limited parking, we recommend using public transportation.
From Heidelberg Main Station, you can take tram line 24 to the “Jahnstraße” stop. From there, you can easily reach the DKFZ on foot in about 5 minutes.
Alternatively, you can take bus lines 20 or 32 to the “Kirschnerstraße” stop, which is just a few meters away from the DKFZ main building.
You can register for one workshop only to ensure everyone has the possibility to join a workshop. However, you can register for additional workshops at the day of the fair, as long as there are still available spots.
The fair takes place on 20.05.2026. Workshop registration will open roughly 1 month in advance. You will find more information on our website.
The fair is aimed at a broad spectrum of young scientists and professionals from various disciplines, including:

It is particularly intended for individuals with the following qualifications:
- Postdoctoral researchers
- PhD students

- Technical professionals

You can register for one of our two fair preparation workshops free of charge. They which will take place within 3 weeks before the fair. The concrete dates will be announced on our website soon.
There is no dress code for the fair. However,in case you are searching for a new employer we recommend Business Casual.

At the Fair
At the fair itself there is a coffee bike and an ice-cream van where you can buy refreshments.
It's advisable to bring a pen and paper to take down notes about your impressions of the company. You can check upfront in our catalogue if companies are recruiting and prepare your application documents in advance. If you have them, it can also be helpful to bring business cards or a QR code to your LinkedIn.
In addition to company exhibitors, we offer various workshops, CV checks, and application photos at the fair. Please note that you should register for these in advance.
In our fair catalog, you can find information on the number of job openings per year and whether trainee positions are available.
There will be no cloakroom at the fair. Please note that BioContact e.V. is not responsible for lost or stolen personal belongings.
If you have any questions, you can always contact us at the Infostand, which is easy to find at the fair thanks to our BioContact logo. Additionally, we distribute the fair catalog at the entrance, containing all important information. The catalog is also available online on our website.

If you have registered for a workshop, please check in at our "Workshop Registration" stand no later than the specified time. From there, we will guide all participants to their workshop location.
Please be at the workshop registration desk by the time indicated in your registration confirmation - ideally a few minutes earlier to avoid delays.
