Have you ever been confronted with the question of what tangible benefit your research brings to society or how you can make your project understandable to a broader public?

This „gap“ between one‘s own research and its transfer into everyday life, into the midst of society, is familiar to almost everyone who works in science.
Even if the range of knowledge transfer activities has already grown considerably in recent years, some questions remain open:

- Where do I find the time and money for activities that give my scientific work more visibility?
- What ways are there to inform others about one‘s own scientific work?
- And how can innovations and concrete improvements, e.g. for social problems, be generated from this?

These and other questions will be addressed in the „Bridging the gap“ workshop format:
In a small group, doctoral candidates, graduates and researchers from all disciplines can learn more about how they can generate a social benefit with their scientific work and where they can get support for the concrete implementation of such formats.
Interactive methods will be used to provide an overview of possible fields of action related to one‘s own research focus.
This should contribute to making the diverse possibilities of transfer more tangible.
